YELLOWKNIFE (June 25, 2014) – Beginning today, residents and visitors to the Northwest Territories will be able to purchase sport fishing licences online through the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (ENR) website.

The online service will allow residents and visitors to purchase and print their sport fishing licences from home or a public computer. Users will be able to purchase or renew a licence and reprint a lost or damaged licence. Users will also be able to register for special management area endorsement on their sport fishing licences or upgrade their licences later in the season if they decide to fish in a special management area.

Sport fishing licences are still available for purchase from all ENR local and regional offices and some retailers and lodges across the NWT.

The Government of the Northwest Territories continues to introduce and improve online services to support the 17th Legislative Assembly goal of effective and efficient government.
