Stone and Bone to Code and Chrome: Ice Age to the Information Age is a new exhibit opening in the auditorium at the Prince of Wales Northern Heritage Centre (PWNHC).
For one week only, a trio of Mildred Hall classes present a history of the earth with a timeline that takes us from the dawn of geological time to the large megafauna of the ice age, to the invention of the microwave. With a lot of heart, heaps of enthusiasm and a ton of glue, these students have created an exhibit for the ages—no time machine required.
The exhibit opening takes place in the PWNHC auditorium on February 5, from 5:30pm to 6:30 pm. Opening remarks will start at 5:45pm with student researchers and interpreters on-site.
Tour the Steppe Bison Exhibit from 6:00pm to 6:30 pm with Territorial Archaeologist Glen MacKay.
Light refreshments will be served in the Museum Café.
You can visit the exhibit, which is a partnership with Mildred Hall School, starting February 5, 2026, until February 10, 2026. The PWNHC is open Tuesdays to Sundays from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm.
