‘Waterways: Works from the Museum Art Collection’ is a new exhibit that showcases artwork from the Prince of Wales Northern Heritage Centre's collection. The exhibit features artwork that highlights the significance of water for people living in the North and illustrates how water is used for transportation, recreation, and harvesting. Through painting, print, and sculpture, this exhibit takes visitors on a journey through the waters of the Northwest Territories.
Over 35 images are featured, including artwork by John Sabourin, Mary Okheena, Don Cardinal, James Wedzin, and Mary Harrington.
Visit the exhibit from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Tuesday to Sunday or join us for a lunchtime opening of Waterways on March 22, 2024, from 12:00 to 1:30 p.m.
If you cannot attend this event in person, you can visit https://collections.pwnhc.ca to see the works from this exhibit as well as other artwork from the museum art collection.
