Whati Evacuation All-Clear

The wildfire emergency affecting the community of Whatì is now under control and the hazard area has been declared safe. The evacuation order is no longer in effect.  

 Residents are advised to report to the Yellowknife Evacuation Centre for information on the community re-entry plan and transport arrangements. Residents will be advised of services available, precautions, and instructions on dealing with impacts of the emergency. For updates go to the GNWT Public Safety webpage
