Thank you for inviting me to be here today. I would like to speak to you about the place of the Northwest Territories in the world and how fostering strong relationships has been, and will continue to be, an important part of promoting social and economic progress in the North.
FORT PROVIDENCE (August 17, 2012) – Catherine Beaulieu Bouvier Lamoureux will be celebrated as a National Historic Person this weekend.
Ms. Lamoureux is the first NWT woman to receive this designation from the Historic Sites and Monuments Board of Canada.

(Yellowknife) February 7th, 2012 – The Legislative Assembly and the Government of the Northwest Territories are celebrating the sixtieth anniversary of Queen Elizabeth II’s accession to the throne. This anniversary is known as the Diamond Jubilee.
INUVIK (January 11, 2012) -- The GNWT has concluded government-to-government meetings with the Beaufort-Delta Regional Council (BDRC).
