Job Information
The Tlicho Community Services Agency (TCSA) is seeking a qualified Home Support Worker (HSW) to provide compassionate, culturally sensitive care to clients of the Home Care Program in Whatì.
Under the direction of nursing staff, the Home Support Worker supports clients in maintaining their health, safety, comfort, and independence within their homes. The HSW delivers care in accordance with established care plans, TCSA policies, and program standards, while respecting the cultural values of the Tlicho community.
The successful candidate will work independently and collaboratively as part of an interdisciplinary health care team, supporting clients¿ physical, emotional, social, mental, and spiritual well-being.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide individualized home support services to clients of the Home Care Program in accordance with TCSA philosophy, policies, and objectives
- Assist clients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, mobility, meal preparation, light housekeeping, and medication support
- Promote client health, safety, comfort, dignity, and independence
- Monitor client's conditions and report any changes to nursing staff in a timely manner
- Assist the Nurse in Charge-Home Care Coordinator (NIC-HCC) with day-to-day administrative and clerical duties related to the Home Care Program
- Participate as a member of the client care team to support client's mental, spiritual, psychological, and social well-being
- Maintain accurate documentation and respect client confidentiality at all times
- Promote safe, competent, and ethical care practices within available organizational resources
Key Qualifications
- Successful completion of a recognized Home Care Program or Personal Support Worker Program
- Grade 12 or equivalent
- Valid Class 5 driver's license
Equivalencies
- Equivalencies may be considered on the basis of one year of directly related work experience in place of one year of formal education, or one year of education in place of one year of experience
- All other equivalencies will be assessed on a case-by-case basis
Working Conditions
- Work is performed primarily in client's homes and within the community of Whatì
- Requires physical effort, including standing, walking, lifting, bending, and assisting clients with mobility
- Exposure to a variety of home environments and weather conditions while travelling between client residences
- May involve working with clients who have complex physical, emotional, or cognitive needs
- Work hours may include days, evenings, weekends, and on-call duties as required by program needs

Salary Information
The salary range for this position is from $37.90 per hour to $45.27 per hour (approximately $73,905 - $88.277) plus an annual Northern Allowance of $15,469.
