Then the Physician Program Specialist position with the Northwest Territories Health and Social Services Authority (NTHSSA) in Yellowknife may be the perfect fit!

Working as part of the Talent Acquisition Unit, the Physician Program Specialist will be responsible for creating and leading the implementation of recruitment programs and initiatives designed to attract family physicians and physician specialists to current and future HSS System employment opportunities within the Northwest Territories Health and Social Services System. Whether promoting the Northwest Territories as an attractive place to live and work for physicians or playing a key strategic role in the NWT Family Medicine Residency Program, the incumbent will help build an increasingly stable physician workforce. This, in turn, will help to meet the health care needs of Northwest Territories residents.

Key Responsibilities

  • Application of human resource best practices in the area of talent acquisition, recruitment, and program development.
  • Development and implementation of talent management projects.
  • Knowledge of HSS System, territorial, and national labour market challenges, opportunities, and initiatives.

Key Qualifications

  • A bachelor's degree in social sciences, Business, Human Resources, or equivalent, and a minimum of four (4) years of progressive work experience in human resources, program development, or workforce planning. 

Equivalencies

  • A diploma in Human resources, business, marketing or related field with six years of progressive experience in human resources, program development, or workforce planning.
  • A certificate in Human resources, business, marketing or related field with seven years of progressive experience in human resources, program development, or workforce planning.
