The Department of Environment and Climate Change (ECC) is responsible for monitoring forest health conditions across the Northwest Territories (NWT) to ensure the forest has the capacity for renewal after a wide range of disturbances, and is able to retain its ecological resiliency while meeting the current and future needs of NWT residents.

As a term of condition attached to your permit, a summary report is required within 3 months of the expiry of the permit to the issuing office. Please use this form to report your activities and findings. Additional research permits will not be granted until ECC has received a report on work done under a previous permit.
