This discussion paper asks questions and seeks feedback on possible ideas, considerations, and general approaches for adapting wildlife conservation and management in the Northwest Territories to a changing environment.

The Department of Environment and Climate Change (ECC) is responsible for monitoring forest health conditions across the Northwest Territories (NWT) to ensure the forest has the capacity for renewal after a wide range of disturbances, and is able to retain its ecological resiliency while meeting the current and future needs of NWT residents.
