HAY RIVER (February 27, 2017) – A Strategy to Revitalize the NWT’s Commercial Fishery was officially unveiled today in Hay River; the town that has been the hub of the territory’s fishing industry over the last 70 years.
YELLOWKNIFE (February 27, 2017) - Minister of Health and Social Services Glen Abernethy issued the following update regarding an external investigation into a critical incident in 2016:
YELLOWKNIFE (February 24, 2017) – The Minister Responsible for the Public Utilities Board (PUB), Glen Abernethy, today announced that the Executive Council of the Government of the Northwest Territories (GNWT) issued policy direction on electricity rate setting to the Board.
Mr. Speaker, one of the most important areas we can invest in is early childhood development and the Government of the Northwest Territories has made a commitment in its mandate to do this by implementing its Right from the Start Framework.
Mr. Speaker, today is national Pink Shirt Day, a day celebrated during the last Wednesday of February of each year. We provided pink carnations for all of the Members, and I am pleased to see all the pink in the House today, marking our acknowledgement that bullying in any form is unacceptable.
