The Government of the Northwest Territories (GNWT) is now accepting scholarship applications from both part-time and full-time post-secondary students enrolled in early childhood development programs for the 2022-2023 school year. This is the first time that part-time students are eligible to apply.
Part-time students can apply for up to $500 per course, to a maximum of five courses, for a total of $2,500 per academic year. Full-time students can apply for $5,000 per academic year. The scholarship is for students enrolled in early childhood development programs at an accredited post-secondary institution in-person or online.
Expanding the eligibility criteria of the scholarship is intended to support flexible education paths, including students newly entering a post-secondary program as well as those currently working in licensed programs who wish to upgrade or obtain further education.
The deadline to apply is October 31, 2022 at 5:00 pm (MST) and students can apply at www.ece.gov.nt.ca/elcc-scholarship.
