The Government of the Northwest Territories (GNWT) has released the results from the 2021 Employee Engagement and Satisfaction Survey (EESS).
The 2021 Employee Engagement & Satisfaction Survey Report & Guide highlights the overall EESS results of the survey across all departments. It is designed to provide support with interpreting survey results and effectively using this information to improve employee engagement and satisfaction.
The department of Finance has provided each GNWT department and agency with individualized guides that provide in-depth analysis of the 2021 EESS results to support them in interpreting their individual survey results and using this information to improve employee engagement and satisfaction.
Individual report cards are also publicly available on the department of Finance website and provide a snapshot into levels of employee engagement for each GNWT department and agency.

- Since 2006, the Employee Engagement and Satisfaction Survey (EESS) has provided the Government of the Northwest Territories with the opportunity to gain insight into the engagement of GNWT employees.
- The EESS is a tool that can create dialogue with management, employees, and human resource specialists regarding the strengths, as well as the underlying issues and challenges, that exist in the workplace.
- The EESS provides an opportunity to foster a more engaging and satisfying work environment for GNWT employees.
