Northwest Territories residents can now find career, skills and business supports all in one place, making it easier to find what they need to get ready for the jobs and opportunities of tomorrow.

A new centralized webpage brings together programs, services and supports offered by the Government of the Northwest Territories for:
 

• individuals looking for career, employment or training support; and
• entrepreneurs and businesses looking to start, grow or strengthen a business.

The Northwest Territories stands to benefit from upcoming major infrastructure investments. These projects demand a skilled workforce that the territory needs to build and develop today. Connecting residents and employers with support is key to building a strong, skilled workforce.

Over the next six months, a targeted advertising campaign will direct residents to the  programs, services, and training opportunities available to them. More opportunities will be added to the webpage as they become available.

Quick facts

• Major projects are expected to bring billions of dollars in spending to the Northwest Territories. Projects like the Mackenzie Valley Highway, Taltson Hydro expansion, Arctic Economic and Security Corridor, national defence infrastructure, major investments in housing, and several advanced mineral projects nearing investment decisions will need skilled labour, goods and services from local businesses.  
• The first phase of the advertising campaign will run from September 2026 to March 2027.
