YELLOWKNIFE (May 22, 2018) - The Minister of Education, Culture and Employment, Caroline Cochrane, is announcing the resignation of the Aurora College President and the appointment of an Interim President.
After six years as President of Aurora College, Jane Arychuk has resigned from her position, effective May 31, 2018.
Jane Arychuk started as Interim President of Aurora College in July 2012 and became its President in December 2012. Ms. Arychuk also spent seven years as the Campus Director of Yellowknife North Slave Campus and as the Vice President of Community and Extensions at Aurora College. Prior to joining Aurora College, Ms. Arychuk spent 23 years as a community educator and principal in Fort Providence.
Minister Cochrane has appointed Jeff O’Keefe, currently the Vice President, Student Affairs, Aurora College, as Interim President of Aurora College until a permanent successor has been hired.
