The Government of the Northwest Territories is now accepting applications for Early Years Community Program Funding for the 2025/2026 and 2026/2027 fiscal years.
This funding supports play-based early learning programs for children and their families – often referred to as parent and tot-style programming. Indigenous governments, non-profit organizations, and licensed early learning and child care facilities are encouraged to apply.
This funding is provided through the Supporting Child Inclusion and Participation (SCIP) program, which enhances access to early learning and child care by funding community play-based early childhood programming.
Funding is available on a two-year term to encourage long-term sustainability, and priority will be given to communities without licensed early learning and child care.
Please note: This funding is not intended to support licensed early learning and child care operations generally, but licensed organizations may use it to offer family and tot-style programming.
Learn more at: www.ece.gov.nt.ca/SCIP or email elcc_scip@gov.nt.ca for more information.
The deadline to apply is June 13, 2025
