Prince of Wales Northern Heritage Centre and NWT Archives Reading Room temporarily closing for construction

Public Service Announcement

Yellowknife — October 23, 2024

The Prince of Wales Northern Heritage Centre will be closed on October 29, 2024, for construction work to improve the building.

The Mezzanine Gallery and upper ramp will remain closed from October 29 to November 23, 2024, and the NWT Archives Reading Room may close temporarily without notice during this timeframe. All other galleries will remain open; however, the Feature Gallery, upper-level washrooms and café will only be accessible by stairs.

The construction involves soundproofing work in the Mezzanine Gallery and minor work in the NWT Archives to address noise levels in the Reading Room.

We apologize for the temporary inconvenience. Please check www.pwnhc.ca/visit for the latest updates. If you have any questions, please contact pwnhc@gov.nt.ca. We appreciate your understanding and look forward to seeing you soon.
