Mr. Speaker, whether a business is small or large, having a safe and healthy workplace is crucial for success.  

I am pleased to inform the House today that the Workers’ Safety and Compensation Commission is now accepting applications for a new Youth Safety Leadership Program.
This is an opportunity for young workers aged between 14 and 24 in the Northwest Territories to develop as safety leaders within their communities and build skills that could lead to a rewarding career in workplace health and safety.

Mr. Speaker, today I want to share some details about a new initiative led by the
Workers’ Safety and Compensation Commission, called Safe Workplace. Launched this year in Nunavut and the Northwest Territories, Safe Workplace is a health and safety program that recognizes employers for their workplace safety performance and helps others identify areas to improve.
