MISE À JOUR DE SÉCURITÉ PUBLIQUE – FEU AU LAC REID

(YELLOWKNIFE, LE 5 AOÛT 2015) Le feu ZF-014 qui sévit près du lac Reid continue de prendre de l’ampleur, et ce secteur se trouve actuellement dans une situation de feu extrême. Le GTNO prend toutes les mesures nécessaires pour éteindre le feu et protéger la population. Les messages ci-dessous sont des mises à jour provenant de diverses agences gouvernementales qui œuvrent contre cet incendie.

Glen Aberbethy: Pharmaceutical Action Plan

Mr. Speaker, an equitable and sustainable health care system is one of the priorities of the 17th Assembly. One way we can support this priority is by improving the management of pharmaceuticals.

Mr. Speaker, to date, provincial and territorial governments have each made significant efforts to address the challenges and manage pharmaceuticals in a way that maximizes patient health outcomes while contributing to system sustainability.

Glen Abernethy: Working Together: An Action Plan to Reduce and Eliminate Poverty in the Northwest Territories

Mr. Speaker, at the appropriate time today I will table “Working Together: An Action Plan to Reduce and Eliminate Poverty in the Northwest Territories.” This collaborative Action Plan demonstrates our government’s commitment to work in partnership with other stakeholders to tackle poverty in the Northwest Territories. It builds on the great work that produced “Building on the Strengths of Northerners”, the Anti-Poverty Strategic Framework, in 2013.

Glen Abernethy: Building Stronger Families – Milestones Achieved in 2014-2015

Mr. Speaker, in October 2014, I tabled Building Stronger Families – An Action Plan to Transform Child and Family Services supporting the Government’s commitment to improve the quality of child and family services for those receiving services under the Child and Family Services Act. I am pleased to provide an update to Members on the progress to date and implementation of our Action Plan to Transform Child and Family Services.

2015 outstanding volunteers honoured

KÁTLODÉÉCHE FIRST NATION (May 7, 2015) – Minister Glen Abernethy will recognize Northwest Territories (NWT) volunteers on behalf of Minister of Municipal and Community Affairs Robert C. McLeod at the 2015 Outstanding Volunteer Awards ceremony on Friday, May 8.  These annual awards provide an opportunity to show our appreciation to volunteers and volunteer organizations for their outstanding contributions in communities across the territory.

GNWT releases results of 2014 NWT Patient Experience Satisfaction Questionnaire

YELLOWKNIFE (March 12, 2015) – Minister of Health and Social Services Glen Abernethy tabled the 2014 NWT Patient Experience Satisfaction Questionnaire Report in the Legislative Assembly today. The report highlights the findings of questionnaires completed by people using health care services in the NWT during July and August of 2014.
