Job Information
The Tlicho Community Services Agency (TCSA) is seeking a Clerk/Interpreter to provide clerical, secretarial, and interpretation services in support of Health and Social Services programs at the Health Center.
The Clerk/Interpreter supports effective service delivery by providing Tlicho/English interpretation and translation services to facilitate clear communication between health center staff and Indigenous clients. The position also provides administrative support to ensure accurate documentation, efficient information flow, and adherence to TCSA policies, procedures, and confidentiality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide clerical and secretarial support to Health and Social Services program staff, including the preparation of written materials such as memos, correspondence, proposals, and procedures, in accordance with TCSA policies and accepted office practices
- Provide Tlicho/English interpretation and translation services to support communication between staff and clients
- Facilitate the flow of information within the Health Center and between the Health Center and the community to support timely and effective program delivery
- Maintain confidentiality of client and organizational information in accordance with TCSA policies and procedures
- Organize and maintain records, files, and documentation as required
- Provide reception and general office support services as assigned
Key Qualifications
- Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent
- Certificate or diploma in Office Administration or a related field
- Fluency in the Tlicho language is required
- Interpreter/translator training is considered an asset
- Proof of immunizations is required
Equivalencies
- One (1) year of relevant work experience combined with Grade 12 and fluency in the Tlicho language may be considered
- Two (2) years of relevant work experience combined with Grade 11 and fluency in the Tlicho language may be considered
- All other equivalencies will be assessed on a case-by-case basis
Working Conditions
- Work is performed primarily in an office and health center environment
- Requires frequent interaction with clients, community members, and health care staff
- May involve exposure to sensitive or confidential information
- Requires extended periods of sitting, standing, and use of standard office equipment
- May involve working under time pressures to meet program and client service needs

Relief Worker
The Relief position has no established hours of work on a daily, weekly or monthly basis and may be required to report to work on an as and when required basis for facilities where services operate on a daily basis throughout the entire year.

Salary Information
The salary range for this position is from $35.23 per hour to $42.07 per hour, plus a Northern Allowance of $7.93 per hour.
