Job Information
As the Client Navigator, based in Fort Simpson, you will be responsible for ensuring that individuals, families, and the community have their basic needs met by providing assistance and connecting them with appropriate supports from other agencies. This includes conducting individual assessments to determine eligibility for program funding and identifying additional required supports. The role also involves administering Income Security Program benefits and services to eligible NWT residents in accordance with relevant legislation, policies, and service standards. Using a client-centered approach, the position delivers comprehensive, integrated services while also working to build community capacity to enhance available programs and supports.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide information to applicants on program benefits, guidelines and appeal processes.
Work with outside agencies to address client needs and assist with specific client situations.
Manage a high volume, complex caseload in various Income Security Programs.
Assist applicants to identify potential barriers to achieving goals and helping them to establish development plans by making necessary referrals to other agencies.
Key Qualifications:
A Diploma in a Social Science field and a minimum of one (1) year of relevant experience.
The incumbent must be able to successfully complete the Income Security Statutory Training and CMAS Training within an established timeframe (1-3 months).

Salary Information
The salary range for this position is from $47.40 per hour to $56.61 per hour (approximately $92, 430 - $110, 390) plus an annual Northern Allowance of $11, 968.
