(June 6, 2013) - Mr. Speaker, I rise today to update the people of the Northwest Territories about the Government of the Northwest Territories Land Use and Sustainability Framework.

YELLOWNIFE (June 5, 2013) – The Legislative Assembly has officially approved the Northwest Territories Lands and Resources Devolution Agreement.

(June 3, 2013) - Mr. Speaker, the 17^th Legislative Assembly has a vision of a territory where strong individuals, families, and communities share in the benefits and responsibilities of a unified, environmentally sustainable and prosperous territory.

(May 31, 2013) - Mr. Speaker, last June in this Legislature, I expressed our government’s formal commitment to a set of principles and key actions to strengthen and renew our relationships with our Aboriginal government partners. “Respect, Recognition, Responsibility” is a foundational piece upon which all of our actions and commitments are built.

(May 29, 2013) - Mr. Speaker, it is a pleasure and an honour to welcome back my colleagues of the Legislative Assembly as we convene for our spring sitting.  I trust all our Members have enjoyed some memorable time with their families and constituents.

(May 23, 2013) - I am very pleased to be here today for our first Akaitcho Dene First Nation – Government of the Northwest Territories Intergovernmental Meeting.

These meetings are very important for allowing us to make progress on a wide range of issues of importance to the people we represent, and I thank you all for being here today.

Today’s meeting will mark a significant event between our two governments, with the signing of this intergovernmental cooperation MOU.

YELLOWKNIFE (May 23, 2013) – Chiefs of the Akaitcho Territory Dene First Nations and Members of the Executive Council of the 17^th Legislative Assembly met today in Yellowknife and signed an intergovernmental memorandum of understanding (MOU) recognizing the importance of their government-to-government relationship.
