Swimming, wading and shoreline play at the main beach area of Fred Henne Territorial Park are restricted while water quality testing is underway.
Fort Simpson remains under Evacuation Order.
Housing NWT is marking a construction milestone as the first modular homes in a major social housing project leave the manufacturer in Hay River and ship out to communities across the Northwest Territories.
Fire Restrictions are in place for all public and private lands in the North Slave Region, effective immediately. For the South Slave Region, restrictions go into effect as of 12:00 a.m., July 1st. This ban does not apply in National Parks.

Due to extremely dry and hot conditions and the increased risk of wildfire, a fire ban is now in effect for multiple Territorial Parks in the North Slave, South Slave, and Dehcho regions. This ban prohibits all open fires.
