The Government of the Northwest Territories (GNWT) is making changes to the NWT COVID-19 Dashboard and discontinuing the Daily COVID-19 Case Update.
For the second year in a row, the GNWT is providing a top-up for grubstake payments to offset the impacts of COVID-19. Regular grubstake payments were made in September 2021, and ENR is now offering a second round of payments to support trappers this season.

The Government of the Northwest Territories (GNWT) is pleased to announce that at 10 a.m. this morning, the Tłı̨chǫ Highway opened to the public. This new all-season road connects the community of Whatì to Highway 3 via the Whatı̀ Access Road.
The Minister of Municipal and Community Affairs, Shane Thompson, has extended the State of Emergency in the City of Yellowknife. This extension is being made under s.14 of the Emergency Management Act.
The extension continues through December 13, 2021.
Beginning November 30th, the Yellowknife Driver and Vehicle Office is offering expanded walk-in service. Clients can now walk-in on Tuesday and Thursdays, from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. Previously, walk-in services were available on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday from 12 p.m. – 4 p.m.

The Department of Health and Social Services (HSS) yesterday released a report titled Addiction Recovery Experiences Survey – Results and Analysis. The report provides feedback from individuals, and their families, who used NWT recovery services on their recovery journey.
