October 24, 2011 - Ms. Karan Shaner has been appointed to the Supreme Court of the Northwest Territories. Until her appointment Thursday, by Canada’s Minister of Justice, the Honourable Rob Nicholson, Ms. Shaner was serving as the Assistant Deputy Minister (Attorney General Branch) of the GNWT’s Department of Justice.

September 19, 2011 - Minister of Health and Social Services J. Michael Miltenberger has appointed Peter Clarkson Public Administrator for the Beaufort-Delta Health and Social Services Authority.
Mr. Clarkson is the former mayor of Inuvik and current Regional Director for the Department of the Executive in Inuvik. The Public Administrator assumes the responsibilities of a governing body with respect to operations and finance for the Authority.
