NWT residents honoured with Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal

YELLOWKNIFE (March 1, 2013) – Thirty-one individuals were recognized for outstanding contributions to their communities and the territory at a ceremony marking the close of the Diamond Jubilee year in Yellowknife on February 28, 2013. Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medals were presented by Commissioner George Tuccaro, Premier Bob McLeod and Senator for the Northwest Territories Nick Sibbeston. Speaker Jackie Jacobson and Members of the Legislative Assembly also participated in the event.

Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal presentations across the NWT

YELLOWKNIFE (February 21, 2013) – Eleven NWT residents were presented with Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee medals at ceremonies in communities across the Northwest Territories recently.

 On the Hay River Reserve on February 8th Daniel Sonfrere was recognized by Dehcho MLA Michael Nadli and Chief Roy Fabian of the K’atlodeeche First Nation. The ceremony was held at Chief Sunrise School.

Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medals Presented to Behchoko residents

YELLOWKNIFE (February 13, 2013) –Honourable Jackson Lafferty, MLA for Monfwi, Grand Chief Edward Erasmus and Chief Clifford Daniels, presented the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee medals to four Behchoko residents on Thursday, February 7 in the Great Hall of the Legislative Assembly. Also in attendance were Commissioner of the Northwest Territories George Tuccaro, Chief Alfonz Nitsiza, Chief Charlie Football and Chief Edward Chocolate.
