YELLOWKNIFE (August 31, 2016) – The public and media are invited to attend a Committee of Cabinet meeting and public open house with the Premier and Cabinet in Hay River as part of the Government of the Northwest Territories commitment to openness and transparency. The Committee of Cabinet will discuss progress on GNWT mandate commitments and hear a presentation from Hybrid Enterprises-Lockheed Martin on airships.

Chaque comité du Conseil exécutif aura la responsabilité de fournir une perspective interministérielle sur les enjeux cernés, d’assurer le suivi des initiatives, de coordonner les politiques et d’offrir des recommandations au Conseil exécutif ou au Conseil de gestion financière dans ses champs de responsabilité définis.
Les huit comités du Conseil exécutif sont les suivants :
YELLOWKNIFE (April 6, 2016) – Terms of reference for eight Committees-of-Cabinet (COCs) have been approved by the Executive Council.
Each COC is mandated to provide an interdepartmental focus to identify issues, track efforts, coordinate policy and offer recommendations to the Executive Council or Financial Management Board in its defined areas of responsibility.
The eight Committees-of-Cabinet are:

Tabled in the Legislative Assembly yesterday, the mandate letters represent the culmination of work undertaken by Members of the 18th Legislative Assembly to establish priorities and a mandate for the Government of the Northwest Territories for the next four years.
YELLOWKNIFE (February 19, 2016) – Premier Bob McLeod announced that Minister of Justice Louis Sebert has been designated as the regulator under the Oil and Gas Operations Act (OGOA). In his capacity as regulator, Minister Sebert will be responsible for regulating onshore oil and gas development outside of the Inuvialuit Settlement Region and federal areas.
YELLOWKNIFE (February 17, 2016) – Minister of Finance Robert C. McLeod issued the following statement on the partial restoration of Territorial Formula Funding announced by the Government of Canada today:
YELLOWKNIFE (February 15, 2016) – The Government of the Northwest Territories will hold a public memorial service to celebrate the life of former Commissioner Stuart Hodgson on February 19 at 3:00 p.m. in the Great Hall of the Legislative Assembly in Yellowknife. A reception hosted by Commissioner George Tuccaro will follow.
