YELLOWKNIFE (July 24, 2013) The Government of the Northwest Territories’ Aa1 credit rating has been confirmed by Moody’s Investors Service. This is the second-highest credit rating Moody’s issues, and follows its annual review of the GNWT’s fiscal plans, outlook, and borrowing activity. The GNWT has maintained this high credit rating since 2008-09, indicating its sound fiscal strategy.
YELLOWKNIFE (June 5, 2013) – Premier Bob McLeod will honour individual employees, teams of employees and partners from outside the public service with Premier’s Awards for Excellence and Collaboration. Over 97 individuals will be honoured, including the recipient of the Dave Ramsden Career Excellence Award.

BEHCHOKO (March 8, 2013) – In a public ceremony in Behchokǫ̀ today, the Tłįchǫ Government signed the Northwest Territories Lands and Resources Devolution Agreement-in-Principle (AiP).

YELLOWKNIFE (March 1, 2013) – Thirty-one individuals were recognized for outstanding contributions to their communities and the territory at a ceremony marking the close of the Diamond Jubilee year in Yellowknife on February 28, 2013. Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medals were presented by Commissioner George Tuccaro, Premier Bob McLeod and Senator for the Northwest Territories Nick Sibbeston. Speaker Jackie Jacobson and Members of the Legislative Assembly also participated in the event.

(February 28, 2013) - Mr. Speaker, for the past year our government has been celebrating the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee with the rest of Canada and the 15 other Commonwealth Realms.
YELLOWKNIFE (February 21, 2013) – Eleven NWT residents were presented with Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee medals at ceremonies in communities across the Northwest Territories recently.
On the Hay River Reserve on February 8th Daniel Sonfrere was recognized by Dehcho MLA Michael Nadli and Chief Roy Fabian of the K’atlodeeche First Nation. The ceremony was held at Chief Sunrise School.
FORT SMITH (February 18, 2013) – Honourable J. Michael Miltenberger, MLA for Thebacha, and MP Dennis Bevington presented the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee medals to four Fort Smith residents, on Saturday, February 16 at the Northern Life Museum.
