As Members heard, on February 16, 2016, the federal Finance Minister announced a partial restoration of $24 million in annual Territorial Formula Financing funding lost through the unintended consequences of the data methodology revisions.

YELLOWKNIFE (September 24, 2015) – Finance Minister J. Michael Miltenberger announced today that the Government of the Northwest Territories (GNWT) has signed an agreement with Boreal Health Partnership (BHP) to design, build, finance and maintain the Stanton Territorial Hospital.
The GNWT selected BHP following an evaluation of competitive proposals submitted by pre-qualified proponents. Today’s announcement formalizes the selection of BHP as the preferred proponent to work on the hospital.
YELLOWKNIFE (September 2, 2015) –The Government of the Northwest Territories will provide the Northwest Territories Power Corporation (NTPC) with up to $29.7 million to prevent an increase to power rates for all NWT residents. The funding was required because of continued low water levels affecting the Snare and Bluefish hydro systems.
