INUVIK (July 17, 2013)— Northern films will be on display as part of the annual Great Northern Arts Festival (GNAF), which is taking place this year from July 12-21st.
YELLOWKNIFE (July 5, 2013) – The Department of Industry, Tourism and Investment (ITI) is undertaking a review of the use of the beaches at Fred Henne and Hay River Territorial Parks.

YELLOWKNIFE (June 28, 2013) - The Government of the Northwest Territories (GNWT) and De Beers Canada (DBC) have signed a Socio-Economic Agreement (SEA) for the proposed Gahcho Kué Project in the North Slave Region. The SEA relates to DBC’s plans to establish a mine and related facilities at Kennady Lake for the commercial production of rough diamonds.

(June 14, 2013) - Good morning, my name is David Ramsay, and I am the Minister of Industry Tourism and Investment for the Government of the Northwest Territories.
As Minister of Industry, Tourism and Investment I am responsible for supporting the commercial fishery in the Northwest Territories which is largely centered on Great Slave Lake. This is the topic of my discussion with you today.
YELLOWKNIFE (June 10, 2013) – Held this year from June 10-15, NWT Mining Week is the perfect opportunity to celebrate the crucial role that mining plays in our daily lives. The mining sector employs more than 3,000 people in the territory and its four producing mines contribute $770 million in annual spending.
YELLOWKNIFE (June 10, 2013) – National Tourism Week in Canada is June 10-16, 2013 and events to celebrate the week and highlight the economic opportunities tourism brings to the territory are being held across the Northwest Territories.
(June 6, 2013) - Mr. Speaker, the oil and gas activity in the Sahtu Region has the potential to grow and diversify the Northwest Territories economy; a key priority of this government. In the last few years, this potential has created many opportunities and challenges, for the people, businesses, and industry working in the area.
YELLOWKNIFE (June 4, 2013) – A stronger, environmentally sustainable and industry-friendly mineral development sector in the Northwest Territories is one step closer to reality following the release of Pathways to Mineral Development. The report was prepared by the Mineral Development Strategy (MDS) Stakeholder Engagement Panel and includes recommendations to support a sustainable mineral exploration and development sector in the NWT.
