Situated along the Mackenzie River, the community of Fort Good Hope is home to more than 500 residents.  One of the more incredible sights in the NWT is the Our Lady of Good Hope church; a National Historic site originally completed in 1860.  Access is available year round by air, and by boat in the summer and ice road in the winter. 

The local school offers Junior Kindergarten to Grade 12 and there is an Aurora College Community Learning Centre for adults.
