Fuel prices in 10 NWT communities have been increased following the winter resupply program. These price adjustments are a direct result of increased global fuel prices.

Significant increases included in this price adjustment:

  • Heating fuel ranging from 9 to 54 cents per litre.
  • Motive diesel ranging from 9 to 54 cents per litre.
  • Gasoline ranging from 7 to 37 cents per litre.

Similar increases in fuel prices are in effect for government customers in the 10 winter resupply communities.

Today I am pleased to give you an update on two projects which have been funded by the Government of Canada’s Airport Capital Assistance Program. These projects are very important to the Department of Infrastructure and to residents as they will help to improve safety at NWT airports.
