Due to fire danger in the region, fire bans have been put into effect for all NWT Parks in the South Slave region, prohibiting open fires.
The bans, which are in addition to any regional fire bans in place by NWT Fire, are effective immediately until August 7, 2024 for the following NWT Parks:
The attached is being distributed on behalf of the Government of the Northwest Territories (GNWT) and the Sahtu Secretariat Incorporated (SSI).
Due to fire danger in the region, existing fire bans prohibiting open fires in NWT Parks in the North Slave region have been extended until August 7, 2024, and expanded to include all parks in the region. These bans are in addition to regional fire bans in place by NWT Fire.
