Mr. Speaker, as the Minister Responsible for Youth, I am proud to speak today about one of our most successful youth initiatives, the NWT Youth Ambassador Program.

From November 14^th to the 18^th of this year, the Department of Municipal and Community Affairs hosted the NWT Youth Ambassador Program orientation and training event in Yellowknife. I was pleased to attend this orientation along with the Minister of Municipal and Community Affairs, the Honourable Ms. Chinna.

Mr. Speaker, I would like to welcome all my colleagues to this sitting of the Legislative Assembly. I also want to thank them on behalf of Cabinet and myself for selecting us for the Executive Council. You have chosen a hardworking, strong Cabinet that is committed to working collaboratively with Regular Members in the interest of all residents of the Northwest Territories.

La première ministre Cochrane et ses collègues du Conseil exécutif ont adressé un message clair au secteur des mines et de l’exploration des TNO la semaine dernière, à l’occasion du colloque annuel consacré aux sciences de la Terre : accroître l’exploration et l’exploitation des ressources minières constitue une priorité.

Aujourd’hui, R. J. Simpson, ministre de l’Éducation, de la Culture et de la Formation, a pris la parole lors de la réunion inaugurale du Conseil consultatif pédagogique pour la transformation du Collège Aurora (Conseil consultatif pédagogique). Ce dernier vise à soutenir et à conseiller le sous-ministre délégué responsable du renouveau de l’éducation postsecondaire pendant la transformation du Collège Aurora en une université polytechnique.

It’s a pleasure to be here today for the ninth Project Management Conference. 

I am excited to be taking part of this conference this year in a different capacity than I have in previous years. In the past, I have been a moderator or participant, but this year I get to be here as the new Minister of the Department of Infrastructure.

Le ministère de la Santé et des Services sociaux (MSSS) est heureux d’annoncer le lancement officiel de l’atelier itinérant intitulé L’expérience Dope, conçu pour les jeunes des Territoires du Nord-Ouest (TNO) et abordant des sujets tels que la consommation de substances toxiques, le bien-être mental et la santé communautaire.
