Kakisa, the smallest community in the Northwest Territories, is home to just under 40 people.  The community is located on the eastern shore of Kakisa Lake, which provides residents and visitors with access to great year round fishing.  Lady Evelyn Falls Campground is one of the most popular summer destinations for visitors and residents alike.

The Kakisa Lake School provides classes for Junior Kindergarten through Grade 9.  Health and Social Services are available through Fort Providence, 70kms down the Mackenzie Highway.
