Premier issues statement on the passing of The Duke of Edinburgh

Premier Caroline Cochrane issued the following statement on the passing of His Royal Highness the Duke of Edinburgh:

“I was deeply saddened to learn of the passing of His Royal Highness, Prince Philip.

“Prince Philip was a man who made many sacrifices in his life so we could enjoy the freedoms we have today. This was most evident during his time as a decorated naval officer during the Second World War. He spent much of his life working to help others and provide opportunities to those who may not have been as fortunate.
