The purpose of a Development Plan is to guide airport development and promote growth. The Plan provides recommendations, analyses, and policies for future development at the airport, typically for a 20-year period with updates every five year. The Plan also provides information on changing demographics, economics, and other areas of consideration.

The Office of the Public Guardian (OPG) assists family members or close friends in becoming legal guardians of individuals 18-plus years of age who are unable to make decisions about their personal care or health care. If an individual has no family members or friends willing, suitable, or able to act as a guardian, the Public Guardian can take on that role.
To address immediate office space issues, as of March 1, 2024, the OPG is temporarily relocating to the 7th Floor of the Centre Square Tower.

The Evacuee Travel Support Program (ETSP) and the Evacuee Income Disruption Support Program (EIDS) provided financial assistance to residents of the Northwest Territories during multiple evacuation events in the spring and summer of 2023. Both programs were created as the need was identified and administered by the Department of Finance throughout the evacuation events.

This March, Income Assistance recipients will receive a one-time additional benefit. The payment is determined based on the Market Basket Measure and is intended to help Northwest Territories residents with higher food costs. The one-time benefit will range from $343 and $717 depending on the community the recipient lives in.
The additional payment will be automatically included for Income Assistance clients in March, meaning recipients will not need to apply.
