Yellowknife, le 19 septembre 2016 – Le 21 septembre 2016 à 9 h 55, le gouvernement des Territoires du Nord‑Ouest (GTNO) procédera à un essai en temps réel du système En alerte TNO, le système d’alerte au public des Territoires du Nord‑Ouest (TNO). Les résidents pourront voir et entendre l’alerte au public en syntonisant les stations de radio et les chaînes de télévision câblées, partout aux TNO.

Mr. Speaker, today I provide an overview of how GNWT departments, the Federal Government and the water boards collaborate to ensure high quality drinking water is provided to residents across the Northwest Territories. I also want to highlight some of the innovative work being done to support community drinking water systems.

Mr. Speaker, this year, the Northwest Territories Association of Communities celebrates 50 years of collaboration and partnership among community governments and with the Government of the Northwest Territories.  

Mr. Speaker, the Government of the Northwest Territories has made a commitment in the Mandate to pursue new federal funding for the enhancement of community government infrastructure. The Department of Municipal and Community Affairs, MACA, is working collaboratively with both the federal and community governments to fulfill that commitment through various funding programs, including the Gas Tax Agreement and the New Building Canada Plan.

YELLOWKNIFE (March 16, 2016) - Michael McLeod, Member of Parliament for the Northwest Territories, today announced funding for 13 projects for municipalities in the Northwest Territories under the Government of Canada’s Small Communities Fund. MP McLeod was joined by Robert McLeod, Minister of Municipal and Community Affairs for the Northwest Territories.

The Government of Canada remains committed to making historic investments in infrastructure to promote good jobs and clean growth in towns and cities across the country.
