The Government of the Northwest Territories (GNWT) has released a workplan that outlines the activities the GNWT will undertake over the next twelve months to improve procurement processes and practices by the end of the 19th Legislative Assembly.

The Northwest Territories (NWT) needs to adopt actions to address climate change and getting there means understanding how residents and communities are experiencing the north’s changing climate today.
The Government of the Northwest Territories (GNWT) is launching a survey to collect NWT residents’ experiences of climate change and their key concerns, to better understand how we can collectively build climate resilience in the NWT.
The Government of the Northwest Territories (GNWT) improved more than 218 kilometres of highway in the territory during the 2022 season, resulting in safer, more climate change resilient road system.
In total, $47 million was invested in improvements to the territorial highway system. A total of 29 NWT schools across the Northwest Territories (NWT) participated in the annual campaign created to challenge students to find innovative ways to promote healthy beverage choices.
The winning schools will be awarded prizes ranging from $500 to $2000 in recognition of their efforts in raising awareness about the importance of healthy living and positive choices.

The Government of the Northwest Territories (GNWT) has released the Arts Program Review Report , marking the completion of the first key action item of the Northwest Territories (NWT) Arts Strategy.
The report assesses arts funding programs across the GNWT, identifies areas of strength and weakness, and provides recommendations on how to improve arts programs and services to better serve NWT residents.
In partnership with Indigenous Governments and Indigenous Organizations, the Government of the Northwest Territories (GNWT) has launched a new program to help mentor the next generation of trappers in the Northwest Territories (NWT). The Trapper Mentorship Program (TMP) provides novice trappers with an opportunity to learn from experienced trappers who act as mentors, passing on traditional life skills and knowledge.
