Le Partenariat canadien pour l’agriculture donnera un coup de main au secteur de l’agriculture ténois

Yellowknife, le 9 avril 2018 – En vertu du nouveau Partenariat canadien pour l’agriculture (PCA) quinquennal annoncé mardi, un montant d’environ 5,6 millions de dollars sera investi dans le développement du secteur de l’agriculture des Territoires du Nord‑Ouest (TNO).

Mr. Speaker, the expansion and growth of the Northwest Territories’ manufacturing sector offers a means to diversify the economy and encourage greater economic development and investment.

For that reason, our government has committed to developing a northern Manufacturing Strategy in collaboration with industry and the NWT’s Manufacturers’ Association.

Yellowknife, le 6 mars 2018 – Le gouvernement des Territoires du Nord-Ouest (GTNO) a lancé une consultation du public et des parties prenantes concernant les modifications proposées à la Loi sur les hydrocarbures et à la Loi sur les opérations pétrolières.

Les consultations, menées par le ministère de l’Industrie, du Tourisme et de l’Investissement, constituent la première étape d’un long processus d’examen visant à moderniser et à améliorer le cadre législatif général pour les produits pétroliers aux TNO.

Des applications Web modernisées améliorent l’accès aux données géoscientifiques des TNO

Yellowknife, le 6 mars 2018 – Une nouvelle série d’applications Web améliore l’accès du public aux données de la Commission géologique des Territoires du Nord-Ouest (CGTNO). Ces applications seront présentées cette semaine lors du congrès 2018 de l’Association canadienne des prospecteurs et entrepreneurs (ACPE).

Mr. Speaker, nearly $1 billion of our economy comes from mining and exploration.  It is the primary generator of wealth in the Northwest Territories and the reason why our government has made the commitment in its mandate to support this sector.

Mr. Speaker, the Northwest Territories is just a bit different.

Just a bit different is the tagline of NWT Tourism’s new marketing campaign. It capitalizes on the unique northern realities that make our territory a special and spectacular travel destination.

As we continue to build our territory’s tourism industry, the Department of Industry, Tourism and Investment is investing to maximize the economic growth and diversity that this sector can provide.
